Moving Companies in Dhaka: An Evidence-Based Comparison Guide

A neutral method for comparing moving companies in Dhaka using public business details, written scope, access assessment and verifiable customer evidence.

Moving Companies in Dhaka: An Evidence-Based Comparison Guide — Pro Movers BD moving guide

Searching for a moving company in Dhaka produces many pages that use words such as “best”, “top” or “professional”. Those words are not evidence by themselves. A useful comparison checks what a company publishes, what it confirms for your particular move and what can be verified before any advance is paid.

This guide is not a ranking. Companies are not scored, endorsed or described as official partners. The public pages listed below were available when this guide was reviewed on 24 October 2026. Websites, services and contact details can change, so open the source and confirm current information directly. Pro Movers BD is included under the same standard as every other business.

Public companies you can research

The following names appeared through public company websites or established reporting during our review. Their presence here only means that a public source was found. It does not prove service quality, availability, registration, insurance, pricing or suitability for your move.

The Business Standard has also published an article about the growth of professional moving services in Bangladesh. Journalism can help you understand the market, but an article is not a warranty for a future job. Use it as background and verify the company you are actually considering.

Start with the legal and contact identity

Ask for the registered business name, trade licence details, current office contact and a phone number that stays reachable after the quotation. Check whether the name on the quotation, invoice and payment instruction is consistent. An attractive Facebook page or a large follower count does not replace a traceable business identity.

For a physical office claim, look for a complete address rather than only a city name. Pro Movers BD publishes its verified Dhaka head-office address on the contact page. Chattogram and Khulna are presented on this website as service areas, not invented physical branches. Apply that same standard to any mover: a service area and a staffed office are different facts.

Compare written scopes, not headline totals

Two totals cannot be compared fairly when one includes packing, dismantling and stairs while the other covers only a vehicle and loading. Ask each company to write down:

  • the pickup and delivery addresses;
  • inventory or major item groups;
  • floors, lift conditions and carrying distance;
  • packing materials and fragile-item handling;
  • furniture dismantling and reassembly;
  • requested technical work;
  • vehicle and trip arrangement after assessment;
  • services that are explicitly excluded;
  • payment stages and the process for approving changes.

Do not accept an unexplained total based only on the number of bedrooms. A home with few rooms may contain heavy furniture, while a larger apartment may have easy lift and loading access. Our moving-cost guide explains the factors without publishing a made-up rate table.

Test whether the company asks about access

A responsible assessment asks about both addresses. The team should need the floor, usable lift, stair turns, gate width, loading point and road access. If the destination has not been inspected, mark those details as unconfirmed. A company should not quietly assume five kilometres, choose a truck from a room count or promise a final bill before it understands the load.

Ask how the team handles a lane the main vehicle cannot enter. The answer may involve a different vehicle, additional carrying or a revised schedule, but it should follow an assessment and appear in the written scope. Review the survey preparation checklist before speaking to shortlisted companies.

Verify customer evidence carefully

Read the original review where possible. A screenshot can be cropped, reused or separated from its source. Check whether the reviewer’s own post is accessible and whether the text describes the service you need. One positive or negative review cannot prove how a future job will go, so look for a pattern across dates and sources.

Do not treat a company logo, employer name or employee relocation as proof of a corporate contract. Moving an individual who works at a known organisation does not create an endorsement by that organisation. Pro Movers BD’s review page links to available original posts so a visitor can inspect the source rather than relying on rewritten testimonials.

Ask who is responsible on moving day

Get the name or role of the person who will coordinate the crew. Confirm who may approve a changed scope and how that change will be recorded. For an office move, identify a coordinator from your company as well. For a home move, choose one family contact for placement decisions so several people do not give conflicting instructions.

Ask whether specialist tasks are handled by a suitable technician. AC disconnection, electrical work, heavy specialist items and equipment with manufacturer rules should not be hidden inside the phrase “full service”. The quotation should state what technical work was requested and what remains the customer’s responsibility.

Review payment and complaint terms

Never share a wallet PIN, bank password or one-time code with a moving company. A manual transfer report is not proof that the business received the money; accounts staff must verify it. Ask for a booking reference, payment status and receipt after verification. Read cancellation, rescheduling and damage-reporting terms before paying an advance.

Keep the agreed quotation and any approved change. At delivery, compare the item list and record a concern promptly with photographs. A clear complaint route is more useful than a vague promise that “nothing can go wrong”. Pro Movers BD publishes its terms, privacy policy and complaint route for review.

A short comparison checklist

Use the same questions for every company:

  1. Can I verify the business name, contact details and office claim?
  2. Will you assess inventory and access at both addresses?
  3. Will I receive a written, itemised scope with exclusions?
  4. Who supervises the job and approves changes?
  5. How are fragile items and specialist work handled?
  6. What are the advance, cancellation and receipt terms?
  7. Can I inspect reviews at their original sources?
  8. How do I report a problem and keep a reference?

The strongest choice is the company whose written plan fits your real job, not the page with the loudest ranking phrase. If you want Pro Movers BD to prepare a comparable scope, send the actual route, inventory, floors and access through the quotation request, or request a free survey when inspection is necessary.
